KEEPING A FOCUS ON OUR 20/20 VISION FOR THE CAROLINA CONFERENCE

Updated: Feb 9, 2021

VISION II: WELCOME TRAVELING PILGRIMS

Our second Visionary Goal is to welcome traveling pilgrims into North and South Carolina using attractive signs bearing greetings from the Seventh-day Adventist Church. These signs have been placed at various Interstate entry points into North and South Carolina and include our conference website information.

There are currently nine Interstate entry points, which are on east- and west-bound Interstates 40 and 26 as well as north- and south-bound Interstates 77, 85, and 95.

In South Carolina there are currently seven Interstate entry points, which are on east-and west-bound Interstates 20 and 26 as well as north- and southbound Interstates 77, 85, and

95.

We designed signage depicting people within our conference territory to serve as a fresh, inviting welcome to the Carolinas. Our desire is to share a visual picture of a friendly multi-ethnic and multigenerational church.

Remember this little children’s song?

This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine… All around the neighborhood, I’m going to let it shine… Hide it under a bushel? No! I’m going to let it shine… Let it shine till Jesus comes, I’m going to let it shine…

There are many who have never heard of Seventh-day Adventists and many others who have misperceptions of who we are. It is time for us to unashamedly tell the world who we are, and truly be grateful for how God has guided and blessed this church. We are to be a torch of truth that is warm and inviting to everyone traveling through North and South Carolina.
