Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

Two recent announcements by Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina recognize community service achievements in Pickens, SC and Hickory, NC The foodbank serves 24 counties in North and South Carolina. More than 82 million pounds of food was distributed from the bank this year.

Pictured are Lee & Vernell Kaufholtz, directors in Pickens, SC church who received the Role Model Agency accolade from the agency. Lee and Vernell have retired from jobs but not from service for Jesus. 85-100 families are served every Tuesday morning in Pickens with a smile and a generous helping of the love of Jesus.

The Hickory Spanish church was also lauded for its six-fold increase in food distribution. What milestone for these faithful members and leaders.
