Gregory William Peters, Jr.

Peters, Jr.,Gregory William, 50, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026, at AdventHealth in Hendersonville, North Carolina, after a period of declining health. Born on January 12, 1976, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, Gregory was a dedicated family man and a cherished member of his community.

A graduate of Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, Pennsylvania, class of 1994, Gregory married the love of his life, Karin Lehman, on July 30, 1995. Gregory discovered his passion for singing during his freshman year at Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. This love for music blossomed further in his senior year when he joined the school's elite choir, Bel Canto. That memorable year, the choir was honored with an invitation to perform at the White House, an experience that Gregory cherished deeply.

In 2001, he and Karin relocated to Hendersonville to be closer to his parents. Gregory quickly developed a deep affection for the mountain region. Although he worked several jobs over the years, the last four years working with Eden Brothers in Arden was by far his favorite. He has said that this was a job, and a company, he could honestly say he loved. Gregory took great pride in his work packaging seeds and planting bulbs, which were shipped across the country. His dedication and commitment made him a valued employee and an integral part of the Eden Brothers family.

Gregory continued to pursue his passion for singing. He became a valued member of Celestial Praise Chorale and later joined The Sounds of Praise, where he sang under the direction of Roger Peden for over a decade. His dedication and enthusiasm for choral music were evident to all who knew him, and his voice brought joy to countless performances.

Outside of work, Gregory found joy in playing online games with friends from around the world via the Discord app. He cherished spending time with his family, often enjoying movie nights together. As a devoted member of the Fletcher Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Hendersonville, Gregory contributed his skills to the audio/video areas of the church.

Gregory is preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Doris Peters, and Joseph and Miriam Widmer, as well as his father-in-law, Michael Lehman. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 31 years, Karin Lehman Peters; their children, Gregory Peters, III, Christopher Peters, and Gwynevere Peters, all of Hendersonville; his parents, Gregory William Peters, Sr. and Connie Lou Widmer Peters of Pisgah Forest; and his brother, Zac Peters and wife Judi of Hendersonville. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Diana Lehman; sister-in-law, Tara Lehman; brother-in-law, Benjamin Lehman and wife Natalie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews: Charles, Josef, and Lisa Peters; Sebastian, Benjamin, and Katherine Beaty; and Sara and Anna Soulsby. Gregory's loyal canine companion, Rose Marie, will also miss him dearly.
