Sylvia Lees Hadley Donahue

DONAHUE, Sylvia Lees Hadley, 89, born January 29, 1937, in Detroit, MI, died September 21, 2026, in Hendersonville, NC. She was a member of Fletcher Adventist Church.

She worked as a court recorder in Wayne County, MI. While living in Detroit, she and her husband, Paul, participated in an Adventist stop-smoking program. She joined the Church and continued assisting with the program. In 1986, she received training in nutrition and cooking classes for community outreach.

After moving to Fletcher Park Inn in Hendersonville, she remained active in health ministries. In 2003, she completed a 19-day program at the Lifestyle Center of America in Oklahoma to prepare to present the Wellspring Diabetes Program locally. She subsequently organized a four-week program at Fletcher, which nine participants with diabetes and their spouses completed.

Survivors include a nephew and a niece. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Paul Donahue.
