AYERS, BEN LEE, 90, born January 27, 1930 to the late Bascombe and Maggie Ayers in Price’s Creek, Yancy County, NC, died September 29, 2020 in NC State Veterans Home, Black Mountain, NC. He was member of Fletcher, SDA Church in Hendersonville, NC. Ben is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carmen (Dietzie) Delores Ayers; children, Marla Johnson (Tom), Marcella Sampayan (Edwin); siblings, Bobby Joe Ayers (Susie), from Weaverville; Royce Ayers (Kathy), from Micaville; Ernest Ayers (Jackie), from Burnsville; Jimmy Ayers (Nancy), from Burnsville; Paul Woody (Nancy), from Burnsville; 4 grandchildren - Anna, Emily, Andrew, and Kayla; and 1 great granddaughter - Jane. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by brothers Charles Ayers and Edward Ayers; sisters Joyce Ayers Watts and Wilma Ayers Woody; and a great grandson, Oliver.
