Roberts, Edwin S., 83, died June 19, 2025.


He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. From 1969 to 1977, he managed the laboratory for Mathiesen Clinic in Pittsboro. During those years, he was active at the Pittsboro church in music and youth ministries alongside his wife, Phyllis. He later helped build the present Brevard church building and served there for many years as an elder and in music.


He was preceded in death by a son, Starett. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; and his son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Ellen Roberts of Statesville.


His life was marked by faithful church service and dedication to his family.
