Clayton Ramey

Ramey, Clayton, 80, born March 13, 1941, passed away on December 9, 2021 at home. He drove the Carolina Conference truck moving ministers and teachers from 1969-1972 and Southern California Conference truck from 1972-1974. He also drove a truck for Versitron Industries in California delivering food and supplies to Adventist schools and hospitals.


Later he worked at hospitals and nursing homes as the maintenance and grounds caretaker.

The last several years before retirement, Clayton Ramey was employed with Walmart.

He is survived by his wife, Anne Deerwester Ramey of 52 years, son Rodney (Celia) a teacher for the Carolina Conference and seven grandchildren.


Preceded in death by two children Rita and Rickey.


A memorial service was held at the Salem Seventh-day Adventist Church in Salem, S.C. on December 18, 2021 with Pastor Daniel Bran and Pastor Bob Grant officiating.
