CLARK, DOUGLAS “GLENN”, 79, born in Boone, N.C., died on Oct. 29, 2023, in Hendersonville, N.C. He was the youngest of eight children. Clark earned degrees in Industrial Arts and a Bachelor of Science from Southern Adventist University. Clark spent several years teaching at Lakeview High School in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, before founding Glenn Clark Electric and Plumbing. A longstanding member of the Fletcher Church, he devoted himself to God through service, offering his expertise in electrical, plumbing, and maintenance to those in need. His faith was reflected in his commitment to assisting his church with numerous construction and maintenance projects, which he carried out with expertise and patience. Predeceased by his seven siblings, Clark’s legacy is carried on by his wife of 40 years, Karylee Elizabeth Clark; son, Jonathan Douglas Powell (Alison); granddaughter, Elizabeth Brianne (Jeffrey); great-granddaughter, Ella Grace; and numerous nieces and nephews.
