Dr. Marvin Elliott

ELLIOTT, MARVIN. Dr. Elliott fell asleep in Jesus May 24, 2023, on his late wife Candy’s birthday in Greeneville, Tennessee. He is deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his generosity, humbleness, and sense of humor. Marvin was born in Kentucky in 1941 and grew up in Avon Park, FL. He attended Forest Lake Academy (where he met Candy), Southern Missionary College, and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1966. Marvin had a dental practice in Asheville, NC, for over 50 years and was well known as a “gentle” dentist. He was head deacon and elder at Mt. Pisgah Academy and Asheville North churches for many years. His greatest achievement may have been the dedicated care given to wife Candy following a debilitating accident in 2006 until her passing in early 2020. Marvin is survived by daughter Michelle (Nelson), son Lee (Kirstin), and granddaughters Lauren and Kaeleigh; sister Helen Krall, brother Dr. Norman Elliott (Mary Lou), brother-in-law David Scott (Kathy), and many nieces and nephews.
