Grow, George Lee, 79, born August 13, 1945, in Columbus, OH, died March 21, 2024, in Asheville, NC. He was a member of Mount Pisgah Academy Church. George graduated from Andrews University and embarked on his educational career at Mount Pisgah Academy in NC where he taught for over 43 years. He inspired students with his passion for chemistry, biology, and the natural world. While teaching, he completed his master’s degree, graduating in 1979 from Western Carolina University. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda; nephews, Cliff Freese (Joyce), John Van Eyk (Kellie); nieces, LeeAnn Van Eyk-Smith (Steve), AnnJanette Van Eyk Moreno (David); several great-nephews and great-nieces.
