Katherine Smith Prophet

PROPHET, KATHERINE SMITH, 66, born on Feb. 27, 1957, in Rockwell, N.C., died on Dec. 27, 2023, in Rockwell, N.C. She was the daughter of the late George Benjamin Smith and Dorothy Starnes Smith. Katherine was a member of the Salisbury Church. She enjoyed her retirement years by spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. Katherine had a passion for reading, particularly her Bible, gardening, and planting flowers. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie Love, Jessica Campbell, and Melissa Prophet; sisters, Dale Newman and Loriella Lundberg; the father of Melissa, James Prophet; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, with another on the way.
